Diving gear

The most important piece of diving gear is scuba equipment. This includes equipment such as an aqualung or rebreather and other essential items that allow for breathing underwater. Other important items include an air tank and a respirator.

Some pieces of diving gear make diving safer, more comfortable and more enjoyable. For example, a diving suit allows the diver to swim in cold water and avoid scrapes and stings. All of this equipment can be purchased at a dive shop.

Some diving gear is enjoyable to have around the pool. For example, a snorkel and mask allow children to play in new ways. Of course, any time this gear is used by a child adult supervision is necessary.
